Hemicycle to Benito Juarez, at south side of Alameda Central in the Historic Center, finished on September 18 1910. This figures represents The Glory & The Justice.
Juárez's famous quotation continues to be well-remembered in Mexico: Entre los individuos, como entre las naciones, el respeto al derecho ajeno es la paz, meaning "Among individuals, as among nations, respect for the rights of others is peace."
Juárez was given the title of "Benemérito de las Américas" ("the Meritorious one of the Americas") by the government of the Republic of Colombia, on May 1, 1865.
